Majority of international students in Australia are from India. Considering this, in year 2017 the assessment level rank for India was changed to 2nd from 3rd rank in 2017. Which meant that students going for level 2 or 3 university did not need to show financial evidence or English test result. This was a key factor behind Indian students choosing Australia over other countries. However, According to a news on 1st October, Indian assessment level has been declined to 3rd rank from 2nd. It means if students want to study in level 2 or three university they will have to show proof of financial evidence and English test if they plan to study with an Education provider whose rating is either 2 or 3.” It will directly have a negative impact on students as said by Australia based immigration consultants.
